According to their catalog, "Rockoon is the high performance guitar created by the skilled and uncompromising craftsmanship of Kawai". Essentially these are the boutique style range from Kawai (in collaboration with Schaller) that were made in Japan in the 80's and 90's.
A very nice looking Bass with an American White Ash top and two-piece Koa back bolted to a maple neck with a 24 fret de-fretted rosewood fingerboard, weighs 3.5kg's. 820mm scale length with a 40mm nut width. Unlike most Rockoon models (that had Schaller branded components), this features passive Rockoon branded pickups (that were likely made by Schaller) controlled by master volume, pickup balance and two independent tone controls, Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge.
Very good cosmetic condition with some light wear as pictured, given a full professional setup and service prior to listing. The Bass appears to have been professionally de-fretted at some stage with the slots filled with epoxy so they're still visible but not intrusive.
