Made by Kawai in the late 1960's, the CB-2V (known as the Banjitar because of it's shape) is a quirky little hollowbody with loads of character. A cute, round hollowbody construction with an equally round pickguard in the aesthetic style of a banjo skin, 610mm scale length rosewood fingerboard on a maple neck, it weighs just under 3kg's. Loaded with one original single coil pickup along with an aftermarket P90 pickup in the neck position, original intoneateable bridge with a mute option and a nice little tremolo system that holds tune surprisingly well.
Other than the replacement pickup this one seems close to all original. Plays and sounds great with some wear to what seem to be the original frets and has a straight neck with an adjustable truss.
