The Maxon GE-500 (sold as the Ibanez Model 95 in Western markets) is the bigger brother of the PE-800 ZEEQ. The PE-800 has individual sliders for low, mid and hi frequencies and can add or remove 12dB's to each, whereas the GE-500 features 5 frequencies and overall boost on the overall and hi band frequencies. The GE-500 is a very powerful EQ option for any studio or pedalboard. Also works very well in the effects loop of your amp!
