Japanese made in the late 1970's as part of Yamaha's "Super Bass" series, the SB-500 was a mid-range model aimed at competing with Fender's Jazz Bass. Solid body with an aged gloss black finish, maple neck with a walnut skunk stripe (34" scale, 44mm nut width, 22 frets), it weighs 4.3kg's.
Well loved condition as pictured with plenty of playwear but no breaks or repairs. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts as it should, the frets have plenty of life and play smoothly. The neck pickup isn't working and needs replacement, priced accordingly.
