Made in Japan in 1977, the TE-500 was Greco's Thinline Telecaster Deluxe model. The original catalog lists these as featuring a semi-hollow white-ash body with a maple neck and a 21 fret maple fingerboard (42mm nut width, 628mm scale length), it weighs 3.4kg's.
All original except for a Switchcraft jack, the Maxon made "Wide-Range" humbuckers sound great and the Greco branded tuners keep it in tune nicely.
Overall it's in very good vintage condition with basic signs of wear from general use. The finish is clear and shiny with a few cosmetic blemishes, the neck is straight with a functional truss and the frets appear original but are shiny and play smoothly. The neck was sanded back to a satin smooth finish that's far more comfortable than the removed glossy clear coat.
