Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG-700 was a mid range model in the 1977 release and is a step up from the entry level models in specs.
Weighing in at 4.5kg's, it's built with a mahogany body with a 2-piece maple cap, slim 60's maple/mahogany set neck and a rosewood fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width).
Loaded with the original Yamaha tailpiece and tuners with an aftermarket Yamaha bridge, this one has the original G-II pickups with the push/push coil split switches on the tone knobs.
