Made in Japan by Yamaha in 1978, the SL700 was one of their high end Les Paul Custom models. Pancake mahogany body with a maple top and slim 60's mahogany neck, 22 fret ebony fretboard (13.75" radius, 43mm nut width block inlays), it weighs a solid 4.5kg's. Loaded with the original Yamaha stamped tuners with a what seem to be the original bridge/tailpiece, original wiring and factory pickups.
Given a full professional refret by Vaughan (our in-house tech) prior to listing so it's playing perfectly. Refretting it also gave him a chance to give the fretboard a nice deep clean so it looks great with none of the gross sweat stains. This one also has the truss nut replaced along with a replacement truss rod cover.
