Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG-2000 was considered the holy grail of SG's by many and was the model of choice for Carlos Santana and John Frusciante.
A heavily modified example that weighs in at 4.8kg's, it's built with a mahogany body, maple top, slim 60's mahogany thru-neck and an ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width). This one's had a "Wonderbar" Shift 2001 tremolo system installed so you can divebomb forever along with the pickups changed to a set of 1970's Yamaha humbuckers wired with two volumes, two tones and one push/push pot acting as a killswitch.
Good used vintage condition as pictured with basic signs of cosmetic wear from use, no repairs or breaks. Received a professional setup and service including a fret polish and electronics service. Frets are in solid condition for it's age and have life left.
