Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG1000 features a mahogany body with a maple cap, slim mahogany set neck and an ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width), weighs 4.1kg's.
Loaded with the original Yamaha "SGH-1SOB"pickups with coil splits on the tone knobs along with the original bridge, tailpiece and Yamaha stamped tuners.
Good vintage condition as pictured, has a few bumps and dings from general use over 40 years. There's some ghosting to the finish on the rear which is common on old Yamaha models but nothing major. Recently serviced with a set of 10-56's for a beefy feel, the frets are shiny and smooth and play well with a straight neck and fully functional truss.
