Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG1000 features a mahogany body with a maple cap, slim mahogany set neck and an ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width), weighs 4.1kg's.
Loaded with the original Yamaha "SGH-1SOB"pickups with coil splits on the tone knobs along with the original bridge, tailpiece and Yamaha stamped tuners.
Well loved vintage condition as pictured, has plenty of bumps and dings from general use over the last 40 years. There's some ghosting to the finish on the rear which is common on old Yamaha models but nothing major. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts smoothly, the frets have some wear but still have life left.
