Custom ordered from ESP's Japanese factory in the early 1980's, these Navigator models are one-off craftsman-built instruments from a very highly regarded era of Japanese manufacturing.
Beautiful two-piece ash body with a three-tone Sunburst poly finish bolted to a 50's style maple neck (7.25" radius, jumbo frets, slight soft V profile), it weighs 3.7kg's. Loaded with a set of Van Zandt alnico pickups and some custom wiring, it's got a steel trem block and some modern Japanese locking tuners.
Given a full setup and service prior to listing. The jumbo frets are shiny and smooth, they show some signs of wear and are fairly flat but have plenty of life left for a crown/level if needed. The neck is straight with an adjustable truss.
