Japanese made in 1980, the SA-700 was a mid-range ES-335 sized model from Yamaha. Bound beech top/back with a birch centre block, generous C profile mahogany neck and a bound 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length), it weighs a hefty 4kg's. Loaded with the original pots and Yamaha branded pickups, this one has two new tone capacitors installed.
Received a full professional clean and setup prior to listing, plays and sounds great with plenty of life in the shiny frets and a straight neck with an adjustable truss. Some light clouding in the clear coat but otherwise it's very clean for its age.
