Made in Japan by ESP in the 1980's, this customer order Navigator model was a high end custom build made to the original owners specs. Matched two-piece ash body with a maple neck and bound maple fretboard, it weighs 3.9kg’s. 20 frets with a 39mm nut width and 860mm scale length, it’s loaded with a pair of high end pickups (unbranded, cloth wire) and CTS pots (two volume knobs and a master tone).
This looks and feels like a very professional jazz bass model from one of Japan's favourite brands. Given a restring and basic setup prior to listing including a truss adjustment, fret polish and electronics flush. The neck is nice and straight and the truss adjusts as it should.
