The PE series was an attempt to modernise the Les Paul shape and style and the Matsumoku factory put a lot of effort into making these to the best quality possible. Made in Japan in mid 1982, the PE-120 was a Custom Edition model made in very limited numbers that replicated the Neal Schon model.
Weighs 4.2kg's and features a mahogany body sandwiched between a carved figured maple top and back, 24 fret ebony fingerboard (triple triangle inlays) and a slim mahogany neck with two maple stripes up the back.
Loaded with EMG 58's (likely aftermarket) and the original Kahler tremolo system along with Aria Pro II branded tuners, it's in good vintage condition as pictured with only basic signs of wear for a 40 year old guitar including some cosmetic ships and dings. The neck is straight and the frets are shiny and play smoothly with some light pitting/playwear.
