An unofficial Phil Collen model built in Japan in 1983, the Ibanez DT-555 is one of the most desirable Destroyer models ever made. Basswood body with a bound birch top, set maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (split pearloid/abalone inlays, 628mm scale length), it weighs 4.3kg's. Loaded with a set of aftermarket Wilkinson Alnico humbuckers with the traditional layout of two volume knobs and a master tone control, this one was previously modified to have a Kahler USA tremolo system professionally mounted.
Looks to be original (apart from a new Alpha tone knob and the previously mentioned pickups/Kahler), it's just had a full professional setup and service in-house and plays as good as it looks. The neck is straight and the frets have plenty of life left. Cosmetically it's very clean for it's age with only light wear and tear as pictured.
