Introduced into the Ibanez catalog in 1983, the RS1000 belongs to our tech Vaughan (who is also a huge Ibanez RS series collector looking to move on a few duplicates from his collection). The RS1000 features an arched birdseye maple top with ivory binding on an alder body bolted to a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers, weighs 3.5kg's.
Loaded with a pair of Ibanez Super 58 covered humbuckers, a Hard Rocker Pro single locking tremolo bridge and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.
Vaughan gave this one a setup and service prior to listing and it's good to go. It shows plenty of cosmetic and play wear as pictured, the previous owner also added a 22nd fret which seems to have been done professionally as it's solid and playable. The frets are shiny and smooth and the neck is straight, the truss adjusts as it should and it sounds great.
