Description: The Boss DD-2 was the worlds first compact digital delay pedal. The DD-2 used the same chip that was custom designed for the Roland SDE-3000 rack delay (their flagship delay rack at the time) and was a revolutionary pedal at the time of it's release. This chip was very large and only just fit into a compact enclosure and this resulted in a poorly designed PCB layout by Boss standards. The DD-2 features delay times from 12.5ms to 800ms and also accommodates stereo output.

The DD-2 features an E.Level (Effect Level) knob to control the level of the delay signal, F.Back (Feedback) to increase or decrease the amount of repeats, D.Time (Delay Time) to control the length between repeats and a 4 way rotary Mode switch to select the delay time range.

Produced from December 1983 until August 1986.
