Part of the Fender Boxer series of the mid 1980's, this is a ST-556 A Serial model that's lived a hell of a life. Alder body with a black maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.8kg's. 648mm scale length with 22 frets, it's loaded with the original Hot Rod single coil and Dragstar humbucker in the bridge with an aftermarket Dimarzio AirZone humbucker in the neck position, controlled by a three-way pickup selector with master volume and tone knobs.
This one has had a very obvious amateur scallop job to the fretboard and had the finish removed from the body. It plays well as it sits and is perfect for those who love a guitar with a story to tell. Truss functions as it should and the frets have plenty of life left.
