1984 Greco Japan "Store Order" Explorer Electric Guitar (Metallic Red)
1984 Greco Japan "Store Order" Explorer Electric Guitar (Metallic Red)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1984, we sold this guitar to a friend of the store a few months ago and it's made it's way back to us! Confirmed as a store order EX model from Greco that was likely ordered by a Japanese guitar store in very limited numbers for sale domestically.
An 80’s Explorer shape and style with a metallic red finish all over, it looks to be an alder body set to a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width), weighs 3.5kg’s.. Loaded with the original Maxon pickups and Greco stamped tuners along with the original wiring and electronics, it's got replacement knobs and knobs otherwise it seems to be factory original.
Good vintage condition with the standard bumps and dings you’d expect from a 40 year old explorer, primarily on the horns. Given a service and restring prior to listing, electronics were flushed and sound good and the truss works as it should. Frets have life left and play smooth with some basic pitting and play wear.
