As the backplate suggests, this is the "ultimate expression of craftsmanship". One of the most desirable basses in Ibanez history, this MC924 was part of the 1984 Musician Series catalog and is the second iteration of the 924. Maple/walnut neckthrough construction and ash wings hiding under a pearl white finish with an unbound ebony fingerboard (24 "frets", 34" scale length), it weighs 4.5kg's.

Apart from being professionally de-fretted at some point this one appears to be close to factory original with Velve Tune B II tuners, Ibanez PJ pickups (a Super J5S and a Super P5S) controlled by volume/tone/boost knobs and a three-band active EQ.

Serviced and restrung prior to listing, it's got a clean fretboard and a straight neck with an adjustable truss. Has a few basic blemishes to the finish and a few small dings but overall it's clean and plays well.
