Made in Japan right in the peak of the Fender JV era, the ST701 was a high end Squier model from the Contemporary series. Wearing a full Candy Apple Red finish on the alder body and maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (648mm scale length, 10" radius), it weighs 3.8kg's. Loaded with a set of active EMG single coils and is missing the locking string tree system but still has a fully functional original END ROX Stratocaster tremolo system.
Received a professional setup and service prior to listing, neck is straight and plays super smooth, plenty of life left in the frets. Good overall cosmetic condition as pictured with plenty of sparkle in the finish. The neckplate on this one has been swapped at some point so the serial number is missing.
