The September 2010 issue of Guitar World ranked the Mockingbird as "the coolest guitar of all time". Whether you agree with that or not, this here is one seriously powerful Japanese made BC Rich.

Part of the NJ series ("Nagoya, Japan", not "New Jersey"), this was a Japanese made beast of a bass that will shake just about any wall you put in front of it. Maple body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard (24 frets, 860mm scale length), weighs just over 4kg's.

Factory loaded with the active BC Varitone system for a wide range of tones to power the two high output P-style pickups. The original BC branded bridge and tuners keep it tuned and intonated perfectly.

These retailed for a whopping 130k Yen when they were released in the 80's and were the most expensive item in the BC Japan catalog.

Given a full professional service and setup including a fretboard oil, fret polish, truss adjustment and restring. The Varitone system works as it should and both pickups are loud and clear. Frets have plenty of life left and the neck is straight, seems all original.
