1986 Ibanez Japan Roadstar II / Pro Line Series PL7520 (Vintage White)
1986 Ibanez Japan Roadstar II / Pro Line Series PL7520 (Vintage White)
The PL7520 is a Pro Line series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1987.
The PL7520 features an offset double cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and the Back Stop trem-stopper. The combination of the Edge, Back Stop and Top-Lok III nut was marketed as the Sure Bet Tuning System.
This is one of the odd Pro Line /Roadstar II hybrid models with a Roadstar neck and a Pro Line body. These seemingly were mostly sold within the Japanese market and were likely a way of using older necks on current guitars. Weighs 3.5kg's.
Plenty of sticker tan and signs of wear on this one but overall it's a great players guitar that was professionally serviced prior to listing by our tech Vaughan, who also happens to be one of the biggest Roadstar collectors in the country. The frets have some light wear but are shiny and play well, the truss works as it should and the neck is nice and straight.
