Made by the Fujigen factory in 1988 as part of Fender Japan's famous "E Series". The ST62-55 was a '62 reissue model featuring a basswood body with a glossy black finish bolted to a maple neck shaped with the classic slim C neck profile (7.25" radius, 43mm nut, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.6kg's. Looks to be close to all original in terms of hardware, under the pickguard there's the original three Fender Japan alnico single coils with a new 5-way switch and volume pot.
Given a basic setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish, fretboard oil and truss adjustment, there's some very light wear to the frets but they still play smooth and the straight neck plays well.
