Made in Japan by the Terada factory in 1989, the Orville SG-65 was a Japanese built '60's reissue SG made under the instruction of Gibson. Orville models are critically acclaimed as they offer authorised Gibson style and specs coupled with the famous Japanese craftsmanship.
Slim mahogany body with a slim 60's mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3kg's. Loaded with the original Japanese humbuckers, the original Kluson-style tuners and the original Japanese bridge/tailpiece.
Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a fretboard oil, fret polish and truss adjustment. The frets have some light pitting but still play and bend smoothly and the neck is straight. There was some light separation of the binding along the top of the neck which led to some paint chipping as pictured, we had the area repaired professionally so it's smooth to touch and structurally solid even through it's still slightly visible.
