A short lived collaboration between Fender USA and Fender Japan, Heartfield Guitars were manufactured in Japan for only 4 years in the late 80's and early 90's. The RR (Rock and Roll) series were a more retro design than many of the other releases and have a quirky aesthetic with great playability.
This is a Japanese market RR-7 model with an angled humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil in the neck position with a master tone/volume knob and 5-way selector. This one has also been modified by the previous owner to feature a 9v transistor boost circuit activated and controlled by push pots. Alder body with a glossy black finish, 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (648mm scale) on a slim maple neck. Stratocaster style tremolo system and “Guitar Man” tuners.
Weighs 3.3kg's and is a great alternative to a Les Paul Jr.
Restrung prior to listing along with a basic service, good overall condition with some light signs of wear as pictured. Frets were polished and are smooth/shiny with minimal pitting, truss works well and the neck is straight.
