Made by the Fujigen Gakki factory in 1993, this is a lesser seen '54 reissue from Fender Japan that's been lightly modified to masquerade as a David Gilmour lookalike. Solid alder body bolted to a soft V '54 profile maple neck (43mm nut width, 7.25" radius), it weighs 3.3kg's. Loaded an aftermarket pickguard and knobs with two of the original Fender USA coils in the middle and bridge positions, a replacement vintage Alnico pickup in the neck position controlled by some CTS pots. The original Fender bridge with stamped saddles and original vintage style tuners are still working perfectly.
This is one of almost 50 guitars that we recently acquired from an Australian collector who kept most of his guitars safely stashed away and only used them very lightly at home.
Good vintage condition with light signs of wear and tear as pictured including light surface scuffs but no major bumps/dings of note. The neck is straight and the truss adjusts well, the frets have some light pitting but are shiny and have plenty of life.
