Made in Japan by the Fujigen factory in 1993, this 1972 Reissue Stratocaster started life as a Fender ST72-65 and was modified by the previous owner to create their own Yngwie Malmsteen model.
Sen ash body that was stripped and seemingly resealed in a light poly finish bolted to a 21 fret maple neck with an aftermarket scallop job to the fingerboard (7.25" radius), it weighs 3.7kg's. Loaded with a pair of Dimarzio HS-3 Pickups in the neck and bridge positions with a Fender Japan alnico single coil in the middle controlled by a three-way selector and standard volume/tone knobs.
Other than the finish being stripped and the scallop work it's a clean guitar for being over 30 years old with only basic signs of wear and tear from use over the years. The frets are shiny, smooth and ready to shred and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss.
