The closest thing you will get to a Japanese made Gibson is something with Orville on the headstock! Made by the Fujigen factory in 1993, the LPS-80F was a mid-range model from the Orville catalog featuring a mahogany body with a solid maple top (flaunting a Cherry Sunburst "fotoflame" laminate), a mahogany slim 60's neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard. Weighing in at 4.4kg's, it's loaded with the factory Orville humbuckers (modelled after Gibson's '57 PAF's), full sized Japanese pots and Japanese hardware.
This guitar is in very good overall condition with the only exception being the small checks in the laminate top where the fotoflame material has likely shrunk over time (very common with the Fender models of the same era). This is purely cosmetic and has no impact on the maple top itself, easily refinished or removed to create a lovely plain-top. The frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left, the neck is straight and the truss works as it should. Appears to be all original.
