Tokai Talbo (Tokai Aluminium Body) guitars were introduced in 1980 and feature a solid aluminium body with a chamber underneath the pickguard. These were known for having a crystal clear clean tone that resonates beautifully both acoustically and plugged-in. Rosewood board and a maple neck, loaded with a 5-way selector and a pair of single coils in the neck and middle position plus a humbucker in the bridge, weighs 4.1kg's.
If you're Australian (and old..), you'll likely recognise these from their use with INXS. Nile Rodgers is rumoured to have put Tim Farriss onto Tokai’s Talbo Blazing Fire. Tim went on to use the Talbo for decades.
Good used condition as pictured with light cosmetic bumps and bruises but no structural breaks or repairs. Frets have some light use and were polished prior to listing along with a fretboard oil. Truss works well and the neck is straight. The pickguard has a small crack between the volume and tone knobs that was cleated and glued so it's sturdy.
