Made by Burny in Japan, this was one of the 10 different Mockingbird signature models listed in the 2002 catalog for Hide of the band X Japan. Basswood body with a laminate flame top and back, maple neck with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard (628mm scale length, 12" radius), it weighs a very nimble 3.2kg's. Loaded with the original Fernandes Sustainer system, three-way pickup selector, a master volume control, three-way sustainer control and direct output switch, all working perfectly.
Given a full setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish, fretboard oil and restring. Frets are shiny with moderate play wear and pitting, truss is working well and the neck is straight. The laminate flame has cracked in spots but has been glued and secured so it's stable and purely cosmetic.
