The Easy Guitar is a digital entertainment instrument with light-up frets that make it easy for anyone to play. The instrument is shaped like an acoustic guitar, but it has no strings—only switches on the frets that light up. Players can even play songs by strumming without fingering any frets. Yamaha took the revolutionary step of soliciting proposals online to create this participatory design product.
