Made by the Tokai factory in Japan in for Fender Japan's 2006 catalog, the ST72-66US was a '72 Reissue Stratocaster model with factory upgrade ST-VINTAGE Fender USA Pickups. Basswood body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (7.25" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs 3.5kg's.
This one has been given the Blackmore scallop treatment by a previous owner as pictured with scallops that are more pronounced on the higher strings and frets than the lower register, allowing you to play comfortable chords and still shred with ease. The body has also been sanded at some point to remove the glossy coat.
Restrung and given a setup/service prior to listing with a truss adjustment, fretboard oil, fret polish and electronics flush. The frets have some light pitting but play smooth and the neck is straight.
