1984 Yamaha Japan SG1000N "Narrow Neck" Double Cutaway (Indigo Blue)
1984 Yamaha Japan SG1000N "Narrow Neck" Double Cutaway (Indigo Blue)
Considered by many as an upgrade to the standard Les Paul design, the Yamaha SG series are some of the fullest sounding guitars you'll ever play. This SG1000N was a limited run model sold for a few years in the early 1980's that feature a slimmer neck profile than the traditional SG1000 model. Weighing in at 4.2kg's, it's built with a mahogany body with a maple cap, slim mahogany set neck and a striped ebony fretboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length, 43mm nut width).
Loaded with the original Spinex pickups with coil splits on the tone knobs along with the original bridge, tailpiece and Yamaha stamped tuners.
This one has some clouding on the finish that's faded the colour closer to black than blue and has a few bumps and dings from general use over 40 years. Received a professional setup and service prior to listing, plays well with a straight neck, adjustable truss and shiny frets with life left.
