Made in Japan in 1979, the SL500 was a mid-range Les Paul Standard model from Yamaha's Studio Lord series. Agathis body with a maple top set to a slim 60's style maple neck with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (trapezoid inlays, 13.75" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs 4.2kg's. Chrome hardware including Yamaha branded tuners and L2 humbuckers, this one appears to be all original except for the missing pickguard and humbucker cover.
Good vintage condition with light signs of wear, frets have some light playwear but were polished prior to listing and play well, the truss was adjusted and the neck is straight.
